Two Win's and a Split Against Cochise
Men's and Women's basketball played on the road in Douglas, AZ against Cochise College on December 8th and 9th.
December 8th the Lady Monsters beat Cochise 45-41 in a very close battle. Vitoria Santana led the team with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Gracie Sorenson made a huge go-ahead 2-point bucket with under 2 minutes of the game. Both Mary Workman and Sarah Deng helped with free throws.
The Men's basketball team played directly after, also securing a win with a final score of 73-62 over Cochise. Tarrence Warren led the men's team with 32 points and 5 rebounds with Noah Ogoli grabbing up 9 assists.
Saturday, December 9th the women played another back-to-back game against Cochise only losing by 4 pts with a final score of 41-45 to Cochise. Vitoria Santana had another strong game with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
The men pulled out another win against Cochise with a final score of 71-56. Raysean Seamster had 17 points with Anton Bonke getting 10 rebounds and Noah Ogoli with 4 more assists.
The Monsters return home on December 15th with the women playing Central Arizona College at 5:30 pm.
Men's basketball will play Saturday, December 16th at noon against Park University JV followed by women's basketball playing against Central Arizona College at 2 pm.
