3 Athletes Named ACCAC Player of the Week for EAC

Three Eastern Arizona College athletes have been named ACCAC Player of the week for 9/17-9/23.

Offensive, Volleyball: Melanie Merrill – Eastern Arizona – The freshman from Oro Valley, Ariz., tallied 8 kills in four sets last week to lead the Gila Monsters to a pair of wins. Merrill had eight kills in the 3-0 win over Central Arizona in the Gila Monsters' second win of the week

Defensive, Volleyball: Kadence Moore – Eastern Arizona – The freshman from Chandler, Ariz., led the Gila Monsters in digs in their 3-0 win over Central Arizona last week. Moore recorded those eight digs in just three sets to help the Gila Monsters to their second win of the week.

Field Player, Soccer: Emma Lindsey – Eastern Arizona – The sophomore from West Bountiful, Utah scored five goals including a pair of game-winning goals to help the Gila Monsters to two wins. Lindsey scored twice while assisting on a pair of goals in an 8-0 win over Glendale on Tuesday before completing a hattrick in a 9-0 win at South Mountain on Saturday. Lindsey has scored in all but three games for the Gila Monsters this season. Lindsey currently has 16 goals this season.
