2/17/24 Weekend Recap

Another eventful weekend here at EAC with baseball hosting Arizona Western and basketball both hosting Yavapai.

The EAC Men's and Women's Basketball teams clashed with Yavapai over the weekend, displaying fierce determination. The Lady Monsters dominated both games with scores of 67-48 and 70-43, powered by standout performances from Vitoria Santana, who amassed 34 points, 18 rebounds, and 10 assists, and Ashlynn Chlarson, who contributed 18 points and 12 rebounds in the second matchup.

Meanwhile, the Men's team secured convincing victories of 82-55 and 102-70, led by notable performances from Raysean Seamster, who tallied 36 points, Lee Rickwood-Pitt, who grabbed 17 rebounds, and Noah Ogoli, who dished out 11 assists throughout the weekend.

Next on the agenda, Monster basketball hits the road for a two-day series against Arizona Western in Yuma, AZ starting February 23.

On the baseball diamond, EAC faced off against Arizona Western, splitting the series with a 5-2 win and a 9-6 loss. Jonas Rogers' crucial two-run homer in game one helped secure the victory.

Looking forward, the baseball team gears up for a doubleheader against South Mountain on Tuesday, aiming to clinch more wins.
