Santana and Seamster Named EAC Athlete of the Year for 23-24

Eastern Arizona College Athletics wrapped up another triumphant year with a banquet to honor their outstanding athletes. Amidst the festivities, Athletic Director Paul Demuth announced the Eastern Arizona College Male and Female Athlete of the Year for the 2023-24 season.

Vitoria Santana from the women's basketball team was named the Female Athlete of the Year. She was a captain of her team and finished her season averaging 17.6 points per game and 4.1 assists per game. She is a four-time ACCAC D1 Player of the Week.  She had 10 double/doubles and 1 triple/double. She earned multiple accolades including 1st team All-ACCAC, and 1st team All-Region, ACCAC D1 Defensive Player of the Year. Santana's stellar performance earned her recognition at the inaugural 3 on 3 tournament for the NJCAA Women's Hall of Fame Tournament, one of 40 female athletes invited to attend. Vitoria Santana has accepted an offer to play at Penn State University. 

Raysean Seamster, also a captain of his team, secured the Male Athlete of the Year title. Seamster led his team to the first conference title since 1995. He finished his season in the top 5 in points, rebounding, steals, and field goal percentage of the conference. He finished his season as a 1000-point scorer at EAC. He is ranked one of the top 35 Juco players in the nation. He is the only ACCAC player to be 1st team All-Conference and All-Region both years attending Eastern Arizona College. Seamster's remarkable achievements also earned him All- American honorable mention by the Juco-Jam. Raysean Seamster will look forward to playing at UT Arlington in the Fall.
