Bio

ACCAC Hall of Fame Coach Shari Kay has led the Eastern Arizona College volleyball team to multiple victories throughout her 22 years as the head coach.

Kay is an alum from EAC where she played volleyball and basketball, finishing 3rd and 4th at the National Tournament during her two years. Her volleyball team at BYU-Hawaii won the National Championship in 1991. Shari Kay was part of the 1991 All-Conference/All-District teams at BYU-H.

Coach Kay has coaching experience as an assistant at New Mexico State University, Yavapai College, Scottsdale Community College, and as an assistant to Jerry Hekekia at Eastern Arizona College.

 She has continued the strong volleyball legacy at EAC with many national appearances, conference championships, and district championships.

Shari Kay grew up in Pima, Arizona where she currently resides with her husband Kelly Kay. They have 3 children; daughter Kailee (played volleyball at EAC), daughter Madeline, and son Grayson. Shari is a 3rd generation graduate from EAC. Fun fact Shari and her grandfather Lee both hold the award of Player of the Year for EAC.

 

Shari holds an associate's degree from Eastern Arizona College and a Bachelor of Science in History with a minor in Physical Education from Ottawa University.
