Bio

Head Golf Coach Conrad Cabezas is entering his 3rd year at the helm of Eastern Arizona College’s golf team. He started his college coaching career at EAC in the fall of 2020 and brings with him his vast knowledge and experience as a player of 21 years. He is currently in his final semester at Kieser University where he will graduate with a BA in Golf Management. Cabezas has taken the appropriate steps to start his PGA certification course where he will earn the title of PGA Certified Coach.  

Prior to being the Head Golf Coach at EAC Cabezas earned an AS degree in Sports and Health Science before transferring to the University of Utah where he earned a BS in Sport and Health Science followed by successfully completing the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He would later use his education by working at Recharge Sports Rehabilitation as the lead trainer and would serve a short stint working as a paid part-time intern for the Real Salt Lake Soccer Club.  

Growing up in Utah, Cabezas enjoyed playing baseball, football, and golf but soon found out he excelled in hockey resulting in his move to Canada to play for the Junior A’s hockey. While in Canada he was drafted and played minor league hockey for 4 seasons.  

A serviceman of 14 years, Cabezas joined the Army until he was medically retired due to combat-related injuries while deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in 2006 and 2011.  

Coach Cabezas has built a new look for the Eastern Arizona College golf program and will continue to have well-trained, disciplined, dedicated players who want to succeed athletically and educationally.  

Coach Cabezas is also the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach.
