Bio

Keoni Bailado has been a part of the Eastern Arizona College women’s volleyball team since moving to Arizona in 2017, assisting Head Coach, Shari Kay. During his time with EAC volleyball, he contributed to the team’s successful 2022 season, finishing the season 22-12 with Regional and District Championship wins, taking the team to the National Tournament again- the last time being the 2017 season.

Upon first moving to the Gila Valley, Bailado spent four seasons at Pima High School, assisting Jerry Hekekia in 2017-2018, and then taking over the program for the next three seasons while assisting at EAC. He took the team to State three of those four years, just missing the mark his first season after losing the play-in game. He also spent those years coaching club volleyball out of the Gila Valley, training and exposing athletes to higher-level volleyball from around the nation.

Bailado was born and raised in Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. He attended Kamehameha Schools Hawaii, where he was a four-year varsity player under Coach Guy Enriques and made trips to State every year, winning the conference title three of those four years on the way. He also participated in club volleyball under Coach Ecko Osorio at Pilipa’a Volleyball, where they participated in Boy’s Junior National Championships annually, finishing as high as fifth and third places.

Bailado received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture with a discipline in Tropical Plant Science and Agro-Ecology from the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
