Final Scores for Baseball

The Eastern Arizona baseball team hit the road to face off against South Mountain in a thrilling matchup on Tuesday, February 20^th.

Game one ended in a loss to South Mountain 2-10 with a 7-run lead in the third inning. In game two the Monsters fought back and kept the game tighter with a 5-8 loss due to a 4 run sixth inning.  "We got the tying run to second base in the 8^th inning but ended up lining out to end the threat," says Coach Kimball.

"Overall, we're just not executing at a high enough level on offense or defense yet. I do feel like we are close. We have a young team, and they just need to get a few more games under their belt."

Drew Wellington, who was coming back from an injury, had 4 hits on the afternoon in the first game of his college career.

The Monsters return home this weekend on Saturday, February 24^th to host Post Grad for another double header. First pitch starts at 12pm.
