Battling Back for Baseball

Saturday proved to be a whirlwind of emotions for the Eastern Arizona College baseball team, marked by highs and lows on the diamond. Coach Kimball's decision to rotate our lineup gave every player a chance to shine, despite early jitters leading to a tough 12-2 loss in the first game.

"Saturday was an interesting day. First off we got every position player (that was healthy) into the games. Since we had 3 earlier non-conference games rained out I felt it was important to get as many guys as possible some playing time. Unfortunately, doing that usually brings along some first-game jitters/mistakes. We definitely had a few in that first game. We'll try and get those things cleaned up on Monday before we head to play 1st place Central Arizona," Coach Kimball.

EAC's resilience shone through in the second game, with a remarkable 15-2 victory showcasing our determination. Individual standouts included Jonas Rogers with three hits and Tripp Schroeder and Jalen Ryan each contributing six runs.

Looking ahead, baseball will face four challenging road conference games followed by a home non-conference game.
