Monsters Comeback against Central

In a hard-fought showdown, Eastern Arizona College faced off against #1 Central Arizona College on April 23rd, resulting in a split with losing 0-5 in the first game and winning 13-9 in the second.

Game 1 saw Eastern Arizona College facing a tough 5-0 loss despite a standout performance from Aaron Gutierrez on the mound. Gutierrez delivered quality pitching, yet Central Arizona's starter proved to be an equally formidable force, ultimately tipping the scales in their favor.

However, Eastern Arizona bounced back with fervor in Game 2, overcoming early setbacks to secure an impressive 13-9 victory.

Coach Kimball hadn't anticipated Brandon Napier coming in and finishing the game, but the pitcher delivered a strong performance. The turning point came with a crucial offensive surge, as Eastern Arizona scored 9 runs in a single inning, showcasing their resilience and offensive strength against a tough opponent like Central Arizona.

Despite trailing 9-2 early on, Eastern Arizona refused to back down, " the guys kept fighting and found a way to win. I was proud of them" says Kimball.

EAC will play on Saturday, April 27th against Yavapai for their final home game and Sophomore Day to honor this year's outgoing Sophomores.
