Corey Wood Signs with Eastern

Eastern Arizona College- Men's Basketball Head Coach Cameron Turner has announced the signing of 6'7 freshman wing/forward Corey Wood from San Tan Valley, Arizona.

"Corey's shooting ability will provide an immediate impact to our team."  Head Coach Cameron Turner said. "At 6'7 Corey can guard multiple positions, and his versatility on offense will allow us to play him in multiple ways." We are excited to welcome Corey and his family to the Eastern Arizona family!"  

Corey is coming off a big-time senior year at ALA-Ironwood. He was named 1st team All-Region, 1st team All-Conference, Region Offensive Player of the Year, invited to play in the Arizona All-Star Shootout, a trip to the state semifinals, and was the first player in school history to reach 1k career points.

"I chose Eastern Arizona because of the atmosphere," Wood said, "The presence on campus, and having the opportunity to continue my academic and athletic career were all reasons why I chose Eastern Arizona."

The 6'7 Wing averaged 16.4 ppg, 7.9 apg, and 1.9 bpg. Corey not only had an outstanding season on the court, but he will also bring his academic success to Eastern Arizona after maintaining a 4.15 GPA his senior year. #GoMonsters
