James Kwayke Signs with University of Mobile Alabama

Coach Robert Peters announced on February 21, 2024, that James Kwakye has signed with the University of Mobile in Alabama. Kwakye is set to join Mobile in the fall of 2024, extending his soccer career at the collegiate level.

Kwakye, hailing from Accra, Ghana, made his mark on Eastern Arizona College's soccer history during the 2023 inaugural season. The program was ranked #7 in the final regular season poll losing in the round of 16 to the eventual national runner up.

Kwakye wasted no time in showcasing his skills on the field as well as in the classroom. In a season marked by anticipation, he emerged as a standout player, earning a spot in the starting lineup for 11 games, seven of which were conference clashes.

In a moment of pride, Kwakye stood alongside Head Coach Bobby Peters and Assistant Coach Conrado Cabezas, celebrating not just a player but a symbol of dedication and achievement.

"I'm very excited for James in his upcoming challenge. He is a very talented player that will look to make and immediate impact for the Rams in their upcoming season," stated Coach Bobby Peters.
