Softball Sweeps El Paso in Home Opener

Eastern Arizona softball kicked off their home season in spectacular fashion on Saturday, February 24th, facing off against El Paso Community College. In a dominating display, they clinched victory in both games of the doubleheader with scores of 20-0 and 18-1.

Gianna Villegas stole the show in game one with an impressive home run, supported by a clutch sac fly from Braelynn Kaulu ChoyFoo. Pitcher Jolissa Valdez commanded the mound, allowing only 1 hit while tallying 6 strikeouts.

The team is gearing up for another thrilling home stand this Saturday, March 2nd, as they prepare to take on Chandler-Gilbert Community College in a doubleheader.
