• About the Gila Monsters: Eastern Arizona makes just its second national tournament appearance since 2016 when the Gila Monsters lost in the second round to eventual semifinalist Shelton State. But it's the second national tournament appearance in three years for EAC and the first under current head coach Angelica de Paulo, who served as an assistant for two years at the school before taking the head job …The Gila Monsters rank in the top 10 in the country in defense, allowing just 52.2 points per game.
