ACCAC DI Women's Basketball Post Season Awards

Eastern Arizona women's basketball wrapped up their regular season on a high note, sinking a 73-64 victory against Pima Community College on Monday, March 4. Led by Sophomore Laini Dahlin, who delivered an impressive 24 points and 5 assists, and Sophomore Gracie Sorensen, who grabbed 6 rebounds.

With a remarkable 20-3 conference record and an impressive overall record of 27-3, the team claimed the title of ACCAC DI Conference Champions for the second consecutive year.  

The ACCAC didn't hesitate to recognize the team's achievements, as they named Head Coach Angelica de Paulo as Coach of the Year.

Individual players also received accolades for their exceptional contributions. Vitoria Santana stood out as Defensive Player of the Year, earning spots on both the All-ACCAC DI 1st Team and All-Region DI 1st Team. Elva Chavez joined her on both All-ACCAC DI 1st Team and All-Region DI 1st Team. Additionally, Gracie Sorensen and Sarah Deng were recognized with All-ACCAC DI 2nd Team honors.

Looking ahead with anticipation, Eastern Arizona women's basketball is gearing up for the final round of regional playoffs. Set to play on March 12 at 7 pm in Guitteau Gymnasium against the winner of the semi-final.
