In a tense matchup, Eastern Arizona College's women's basketball team faced off against #4 Collins College in the second round of the 23-24 NJCAA DI Women's Basketball Championship Tournament. The Lady Monsters secured a narrow victory, edging out Collins with a final score of 61-60.
Leading the charge was Sophomore Vitoria Santana, who contributed 21 points and 6 assists, supported by Sophomore Gracie Sorensen with an impressive 14 rebounds.
With this hard-fought win, the Lady Monsters advance to the Quarterfinal round scheduled for Friday, March 29 at 3:30 pm. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ and the NJCAA Network.
A watch party will be held in AP118 for students, staff, faculty, and community members to cheer on the team.
