Volleyball Defeated by Chandler-Gilbert 0-3

Eastern Arizona College volleyball lost a hard-fought battle against Chandler-Gilbert 0-3 last night.

"We knew it was going to be a battle going in because we were missing two of our starters", says Coach Kay. 

Eastern Arizona had to adjust their players to fill the missing spots allowing a few players the opportunity to play that have not seen much court time this season. "We had a game plan to shut down their 2 big guns-which we did! We had such a good blocking night and they did not have an answer for that." Unfortunately, unforced errors worked against their efforts to block Chandler-Gilbert. 

Olivia Lunt finished the game with 15 kills and 3 blocks while Asya Akbulut had 25 assists and 4 digs. Kadence Moore led the team defensively with 10 digs, 1 ace, and 4 assists. 

" I feel like tonight we had some players that gained confidence and learned some things that will help us in the remaining season", says Coach Kay. 

Eastern Arizona volleyball is on the road Wednesday, September 27th to Prescott, AZ where they will challenge Yavapai College at 7 p.m.
