Gila Monsters Compete in Busy Week of Volleyball and Soccer

Eastern Arizona College's volleyball and soccer teams were active last week with matches in Arizona and California. The teams faced tough opponents, leading to mixed results.

Volleyball Splits Weekend Matches
The EAC volleyball team traveled to Central Arizona College in Coolidge, AZ, for two matches on Friday and Saturday, September 27 and 28. They were swept 3-0 on Friday, but the team bounced back on Saturday with a 3-1 win.

They now prepare to face Arizona Western in Yuma, AZ on Friday, October 4, and Saturday, October 5.

Men's Soccer: Big Win, Tough Loss
The men's soccer team had a strong performance on Tuesday, September 24, in Redlands, CA, with an 11-0 win over Community Christian College. However, on Saturday, September 28, they lost 0-4 to Yavapai College in Prescott, AZ.

The men's team will have a bye week to recover before their next match.

Women's Soccer: Win and a Draw
The women's soccer team also played Community Christian College on September 24, winning 12-0 in California. On September 28, they tied 0-0 against Yavapai College in a defensive match.
