
A Packed Week of Fall Sports
Eastern Arizona College's (EAC) men's and women's soccer teams faced off against Arizona Western College in Yuma, AZ, on Tuesday, October 8. The men's team fell 0-3, while the women's team lost 0-2 in hard-fought matches.
EAC volleyball stole the spotlight with back-to-back victories over College of Southern Nevada (CSN) on Friday, October 11, and Saturday, October 12, with both matches ending in 3-0 sweeps.
Men's Soccer Battles for a Tie
Returning to John Mickelson Field on Saturday, October 12, the men's soccer team played a fiercely competitive match against CSN, resulting in a 1-1 tie. EAC held CSN to a stalemate for much of the game, showcasing their defensive strength.
Women's Soccer Shuts Down CSN
The EAC women's soccer team delivered a thrilling 1-0 victory over CSN on home turf, with the lone goal securing a much-needed win and giving the team momentum heading into their upcoming games.
Fall Sports in Full Swing
EAC's fall sports calendar is heating up. The softball team hosted the Texas Blast, a home event that brought plenty of action to the diamond. The women's basketball team was on the road, competing in Dallas, TX, for the Southwest Showcase. At the same time, the men's basketball team also traveled to Texas for the Mullen's Jamboree.
Upcoming Matches and Events
Looking ahead, both the men's and women's soccer teams will travel to Bullhead City on Tuesday, October 15, to face Mohave Community College. They will return home for matches against Community Christian College over the weekend.
EAC volleyball will be back in action at home on Tuesday, October 16, against Ottawa University, where they will celebrate and honor their departing sophomores. The team will wrap up the week with a two-day series on the road in Prescott, AZ, facing Yavapai College.
