Eastern Arizona College Softball and Baseball Face Tough Competition

Eastern Arizona College's softball and baseball teams traveled on February 22, facing strong competition in conference play.

The softball team traveled to Pima College for a doubleheader but struggled against the undefeated ACCAC DII leaders. They dropped the first game 3-10 and fell in the second matchup 2-10. The Monsters will look to bounce back when they travel to Arizona Western on Friday, February 28.

Meanwhile, the baseball team faced Central Arizona and saw mixed results. They dropped the first two games in close battles, losing 2-3 in Game 1 and 1-2 in Game 2. However, they fought back in Game 3 with an impressive 11-6 victory. Eastern Arizona College baseball holds a 7-5 record, tying them with Arizona Western and Cochise College in the ACCAC DI standings.

The Monsters baseball team will return to action at home on Tuesday, February 25, hosting Fraser Valley at 2 p.m.
