Cameron Turner
Head Men’s Basketball Coach | Eastern Arizona College
Cameron Turner currently serves as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Eastern Arizona College, where he has quickly built one of the most successful programs in the region. In just three seasons at the helm, Turner has led the Monsters to a 76-20 record (.791), back-to-back ACCAC Conference and NJCAA Region I Championships (2024, 2025), and a national ranking as high as No. 16.
The 2025 season was historic for EAC Men’s Basketball. The team went 29-4 overall and 16-2 in conference play, marking the program’s first back-to-back conference titles since 1994–95. The Monsters earned 28 NJCAA wins (third most in the nation), finished second in the NJCAA West District, and ranked third nationally in net efficiency. The 29 total wins were the second-most in program history.
Turner has also prioritized academics and player development. The 2025 squad posted a 3.46 team GPA—its third straight year over 3.30—and earned 1st Team NJCAA Academic All-American honors, including three players with perfect 4.0 GPAs. Under Turner’s leadership, the program boasts a 100% sophomore graduation rate, 100% athletic scholarship placement, and eight Academic All-Americans in the last three years.
His efforts have earned him back-to-back ACCAC and Region I Coach of the Year honors in 2024 and 2025.
Before taking over the men’s program, Turner led the EAC Women’s Basketball team from 2017–2022, compiling a 90-56 overall record and guiding the team to ACCAC and Region I titles, as well as a Sweet 16 appearance at the NJCAA National Tournament.
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Turner founded the AAU program Willamette Reign in Oregon, which placed 53 athletes into college basketball. He also previously coached future NBA player Kevin Love at the high school level.
From 2011 to 2017, Turner was the assistant men’s basketball coach at NCAA Division II powerhouse University of Alaska Anchorage, where the program went 116-60 and produced multiple All-Americans and the 2012 NCAA National Player of the Year.
Turner earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Southern Oregon University in 2004. He is married to Elisabeth, and they have two daughters, Cora and Iris.
