Chris Martin joined the Eastern Arizona College athletic department as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach in the summer of 2022. Prior to becoming a Monster, he served as the assistant coach at Corban University in Salem, Oregon.

During his 4-year career at Corban University, Martin played a pivotal role in the Warrior’s success in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. He demonstrated strength in recruiting efforts, developing the program’s guards, overseeing opponent scouting reports, and assisting with game coaching and strategy. Martin was part of the 2020 Cascade Collegiate Conference spring championship team that finished with a 15-3 record.

A native of Los Angeles, Martin graduated from Price High School where he played varsity basketball all four years. In 2014, he attended D2 Cal State University Los Angeles to start his collegiate playing career, then transferred to Corban University, where he finished his playing career. Highlighting his time at Corban was a trip to the national tournament in 2017. In the 2016-2017 championship game, Martin hit ten 3-pointers in the second half, helping guide the Warriors to a Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament Championship.

In his first year at Eastern Arizona College (EAC), Chris Martin assisted Head Coach Cameron Turner in winning his 100th game. The program saw one player receive 1st Team All-ACCAC, 1st Team All-Region, and signed with D1 Troy University. Another player received 2nd Team All-ACCAC, 2nd Team All-Region, ACCAC Freshman of the Year, and ACCAC All-Defensive Team honors.

In 2024, Martin contributed to the team's remarkable success as they won the ACCAC Championship, NJCAA Region I DI Championship, and NABC Juco West District Championship. The team was also named an NJCAA All-Academic Team. The Monsters completed the 2024 season with a conference record of 17-2 and an overall record of 26-7.
