
Monsters Move to 6-1 on the Young Season

Liberal, Kansas: Eastern Arizona Men's Basketball heads back to Thatcher with a 3-0 record on the week (6-1 overall) after playing 3 games in 4 days against 3 different regions in 3 different states. The Monsters opened their road trip on Wednesday, November 13 at Seward County CC in Liberal, Kansas in which the Monsters came out with a 100 to 83 victory. The Monsters had 5 scores in double figures led by Kaden Ericksen who finished with 21, JT Elder added 17, Armari Carraway added 10 points and 6 assists, Ryan Hunt added 10 and freshman Jasyre Robinson netted his career high and finished with 19!
La Junta, Colorado: Monsters then traveled to La Junta, Colorado to take on Otero College on Thursday, November 14th. In a defensive battle, the Monsters went on a late run to win 66 to 55 and move to 2-0 on the road trip. JT Elder led the way with 14 points and 6 rebounds, freshman Ryan Hunt netted his first of many doubles in his young career adding 11 points and 13 rebounds, and Kaden Ericksen capped off the double-digit scoring finishing with 13.
Cheyenne, Wyoming: EAC Monsters headed to Cheyenne, Wyoming to take on Laramie County CC on Saturday, November 16th, in game 3 of their road trip. After getting out to a slow start the Monsters saw themselves trailing by 4 at half to a red-hot shooting LCCC team. Monsters found life at halftime and took an 11-point lead with six minutes to go. After a back-and-forth battle at the last minute, the Monsters were able to get out of Cheyenne with an 88 to 84 victory and get the road trip sweep. JT Elder continued his dominance and led the monsters with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Kaden Ericksen scored 13 points and also had a lockdown defensive effort holding Laramie CC's leading scorer to just 9 points. Jamare Childs was the spark off the bench adding 11 points, and Armari Carraway continued to shoot lights out adding 18 points, shooting 4-8 from the 3-point line.
Next up: After 1,285 miles of travel, and games in 3 different states against 3 different regions, the monsters start the journey to defend their 2023-2024 ACCAC regular season and Region 1 tournament championship as they open conference play at home Wednesday, November 10 versus Arizona Western. Monsters now have 6 Division 1 NJCAA on the year. #FindAWay
