The Eastern Arizona College (EAC) women's basketball team hosted the EAC Tournament from November 7-9, competing against teams like Utah State Eastern, Pima, Trinidad State College, Arizona Western, and Colorado Northwestern Community College.
The Lady Monsters started strong on opening night, defeating Trinidad State College with an impressive 88-44 score. Ashlynn Chlarson led the way with 19 points, Yazmin Edwards grabbed 10 rebounds, and Sarah Deng contributed 8 assists.
In a tight game on Friday, EAC edged out Utah State Eastern 43-38. Chlarson once again played a key role, scoring 20 points and securing 16 rebounds, while Eanae Dagons added 5 assists.
On the final day of the tournament, EAC dominated Colorado Northwestern Community College, winning 94-26. Danaeja Love and Romero Ah Sam each scored 20 points, Chlarson pulled down 20 rebounds, and Stephany Goncalves recorded 8 assists. This victory extended the Lady Monsters' winning streak to three games, bringing their overall record to 4-1.
The Lady Monsters will return to the court on November 20 to host Arizona Western.
