Lady Monsters Fall to #6 Arizona Western in Home Opener

On Saturday, September 14, the Eastern Arizona College Lady Monsters soccer team hosted #6-ranked Arizona Western for their first home conference game of the season. Despite a strong defensive effort, the Lady Monsters were unable to secure a win, falling 0-3 to the Matadors.

Goalkeeper Ashley Zaragoza-Lopez was a standout, recording 9 saves to keep the score close. The Lady Monsters' defense played with determination, holding off numerous offensive advances from Arizona Western. Offensively, Eastern Arizona generated 8 shots, but Arizona Western's defense held firm throughout the match. While this was a tough loss for the Lady Monsters, the team remains resilient and focused on their next challenge. They will travel to North Las Vegas to face College of Southern Nevada on Tuesday, September 17.
